Bella Vera tradizionale is a ripened Italian type of firm cheese which is produced according to a traditional recipe from the island Sicily. Bella Vera tradizionale is made of cowmilk. As Bella Vera is ripened in tradional warehouses it distinguishes itself from other firm cheeses by its unique taste and character.

 

According to the tradition is Bella Vera a white and somewhat dry cheese. The taste of Bella Vera tradizionale is nutty and tangy.

 

This type of cheese (formaggio rigatello) is consumed - especially in Italy - in the same way as Parmesan cheese (grated). Bella Vera is delicious for all kind of mediterranean dishes like pasta, pizza but also very tasty in a soup or sauce or on a salad.
